Aigues Blanques
It is one of the officially recognised nudist beaches on the island,
but those with a tendency to wear clothes are made equally welcome
at either of the two bars/chiringuitos that serve the beach.
Cala Martina
A large, long, sandy beach just south of Es Canar and largely dominated
by residents of the adjacent Club Punta Arabi, which is a favourite
with our younger German visitors. Open to the sea, there is usually
a good breeze much enjoyed by wind surfers and a nice view all the
way down the coast to distant Santa Eulalia.
Cala Des Portinatx
Is tucked away right in the north of the island and protected by
a ring of hills that make the drive there spectacularly beautiful.
It seems a long drive on such a small island but is very popular
in the summer.
Cala Moli
A small beach that is not easy to find, but remains unique on this
stretch of coast and is worth a visit for anyone based between San
José and San Antonio.
Cala De Boix
Slightly off the beaten track and all the better for it in peak
season. You head for San Carlos and the follow the road towards
Es Figueral till a signpost directs you to the right to Cala Boix.
Playa San Antonio
One of the few beaches where palm trees have attempted to be grown
in the sand with waves lapping at their feet.
Figueretas
This is the only beach that can really claim to be in Ibiza town
as the rest of the coastline is the port.
Talamanca
This is the closest beach to the centre of Ibiza town and often
the nearest beach haven after a hot afternoon looking for that imaginary
parking spot in Ibiza town.
Santa Eulalia
The beach that we look out upon from the office (when we feel like
leaning out over the balcony and scaring people at the bus stop
below who think we look suicidal?). It actually consists of two
nice beaches and considering the fact that they're in one of the
largest villages on the island, they're quite pleasant.
