TAJO
DE LA SOGA
Location: On the Benalmadena coast,
near the zone of Torremuelle.

Description: On Tajo de la Soga, there
is barely any hint of civilisation. It is one of the
wildest unspoilt areas along the Benalmadena coast.
It is surrounded by coves and rocks. A place like this
is hard to find along the Coasta, with ample parking
and bus access, families gather in peace to enjoy the
sun, sea and sand.
LAS
VIBORILLAS
Location: It is found in Benalmádena-Coast,
between the beaches of Las Yuccas and Arroyo Hondo.
Services: Footbath, showers, chiringuitos,
disabled access, sunbeds, parasols, Red Cross, changing
rooms,
Description: Its only 500 metres long
yet it privacy and golden sands have attracted some
nudists. The waters are pure and surroundings natural.
Many holidaymakers’ nudist or clothed frequent
here.
LAS YUCCAS
Location: Leaving
Benalmadena city centre, direction Fuengirola, take
the next exit after Playa de Viborillas.
Services: Parking, rent of parasols
and hammocks, showers, access for the disabled, bins,
exits to highway, danger signs, chiringuitos and restaurants.
Description: It is surprising to find
such a natural beach right in the middle of the Costa
del Sol. The clean waters attract scuba divers and snorklers.
There are hardly any buildings, and some parts are comprised
of natural rocks. Recent improvements have created better
access.
TORREVIGIA
Location: From Benalmadena Costa, to
Torrequebrada, next to Sunset Beach tourist services.
Services: Parking, public showers,
security towers, first aid, lifesaving, newsstands,
playgrounds, bus stops, access for the disabled, hotels,
chiringuitos and restaurants.
Description: This intimate spot, has
coarse grey sands, great services, and can get relatively
congested in the summer.
BIL
– BIL
Location: From Málaga,
catch the N340 to the Castillo de Bil Bil. It is a Moorish
style red building situated in the heart of Benalmadena
costa. The beach lies just alongside it. Parking in
the nearby Avenida Frederico Garcia Lorca is advised.
Services: It has a small chiringuitos,
serving all the typical delicacies. It has a developed
paseo maritimo so the shops and bars are never too far
away. It has sunbeds of course, and plenty of towel
space.
Description: It is one of the most
beautiful in Benalmadena; it has a curious shape, fine
sands and clean waters. The showers are well upheld,
the beach attracts scores of youngsters during the summer.
SANTA
ANA
Location: It situated
next to the N-340 at Hotel Triton. The construction
of the new access to de Puerto Deportivo complicates
the car access. It is more comfortable to take the bus.
Services: Paseo maritimo, sunbeds parasols,
showers, access for the disabled, showers, parking,
chiringuitos, beach security, first aid, hotels, bars
bus stops and taxi. Motor less watersports, rentals.
Description: It situated between the
beaches of Malasquera and Bil-Bil, Holy Ana is a totally
urban beach and the oldest one of the municipality..
The last few winters have been damaging so it has been
recently regenerated back to its natural glory. It is
a fishing coast, and has a small port. This beach and
its chiringuitos are always very lively with young and
old in the summer.
MALAPESQUERA
Location: Continue
in direction Cadiz from Málaga and take the bypass to
Puerto Deportivo.
Services: There is a volley ball set
up and indoor soccer courts, and as always chiringuitos,
(4) and sunbeds etc.
Description: This sporty beach attracts
a lot of energetic youngsters from all over Andalusia.
It has been largely unaffected by the recent winters
and has a generous covering of natural sands. It has
beach soccer, volleyball. Jet skis. It is a firm favourite
and attracts a big crowd in the summer months.
BENALNATURA
Location: It is on
the n340 on Benalmadena coast.
Services: It is a nudist beach with
showers, sunbeds, cafes, chiringuitos with a garden.
Description: Semi urbanized beach 200
x 15 m. with grey coarse sands, moderate swell and medium
crowd. It is flanked by dunes and has a picnic area
nearby.
MELILLEROS
Location: On the highway
to Torremolinos (or Fuengirola) that passes along the
Benalmadena coast, or descends from Arroyo de la Miel
directly.
Services: Public showers, Security
towers, first aid, sunbeds paseo maritimo, phone booth
playgrounds, watersports,
Description: It is one of the most
beautiful beaches of Benalmádena; it has a curios
sleeve of sea that divides it into two zones. The sands
are clean but partly regenerated.
FUENTE
DE LA SALUD
Location: On the N340
from Torremolinos, take the bypass to Puerto Deportivo
of Benalmadena. The beach lies to the west of the port.
Services: Paseo maritimo sunbeds parasols,
showers, bus stop, access for the disabled, tourist
info. Hotels chiringuitos restaurants, bars, first aid,
beach security, and watersports rentals.
Description: The Fuente de la Salud
beach is unique in Benalmadena and has earned a blue
flag from the E. U. The name comes from the legend that
the spring of water found in it has healing properties.
It was originally a rocky shore but the construction
of the Puerto Deportivo has allowed a beach to form.
It has no overcrowding of sunbeds, wide open spaces,
and crystal clean waters and sands. MTV has been known
to film here.
