KARTING
The light has just turned green. Time
to speed off in your kart, a mini Formula 1 car in which
you will feel just like our very own Spanish champion,
Fernando Alonso.
Strap your helmet on tightly, for bends, chicanes and
bridges all wait you. There are cars for the whole family.
Different levels of kart ranging from vehicles for the
tiniest of tots to those more suited to the experienced
driver, competition or even Formula karts which are
similar to racing cars and capable of reaching dizzying
speeds. So, if a few leisurely laps of one of the many
courses to be found throughout the coast are not enough
for you, your best bet is to take part in one of the
races organised by the Karting Associations and compete
against friends or other children of the same age. And
a good option for those who do not wish to not drive
but are keen to experience that feeling of speed is
to hire a two-seater model and hurtle round the track
with partner. Twice the fun.
However, all that tension and adrenaline mean that a
visit to the pits will be required in the shape of a
trip to the cafeteria. We can’t just race around
the track all day long. So, a tea-time snack for the
little ones and refreshments for the adults are in order.
Pit stop over. The right light is about to change.
