La Dama de Noche was the first European club to open 24 hours a day. A 2.700-metre par-36 nine-hole course, as its surface is fairly smooth balls are easy to find and play is quick. Although most golfers prefer to play during the day, the course has an efficient lighting system which allows for play during the night under practically the same conditions as in the daytime. The design and construction of the course also incorporates the latest in golf technology: the planting of new grass (Bermuda on the fairways and Penncross on the greens); lighting which conforms with american standards; waterproofed lakes; and plants and trees raised in the club´s own greenhouses. Although the course is confortable to play on, it´s not without its difficulties and a whole range of shots can be played.
